A weekend of running

Well the past weekend was one of little rest. It all started with working Friday till 9 pm and then proceeding to Be One restaurant with some school friends where I was referred to as the "pigmentally challenged". You see I was the only Caucasian there. There were Egyptian, Chinese, Filipino, and then me. It was a lot of fun and enjoyed the cooking at the table style. Saturday I had an ultimate game at 10 till 11:30 I went to work till 2. At 2 I went back to play another ultimate game till 4 then came back to work till 6. At 7 went to another ultimate game and then at 9 went to Lassalle to my good buddies Nils and Lisa's wedding reception (they got married in Sweden, and in a Ice Castle) I think I finally shut my eyes at 3 in the morning. Sunday, I went to church with my parents and then had a little relax but had another ultimate game at 5:30, after 5:30 I proceeded to go to another going away party that my friend Grant (above right) was kind of enough to organize and invite everybody.

I was glad that my good bud Kyle as in full form as usual (to the right) and was able to "represent" till the end. In the last month Kyle as been preparing me for my journey and helping me up my ability to "keep it real" with the big boys. I just hope I don't loose what I have been able to build up in the small town of Calgary.

It was also awesome to see the amazing dynamic duo back together! Tobi ( left) is also moving in 5 days where she is going to Grande Prairie with her husband Cory.

All in all the weekend was amazing and I really have to throw a props out to Grant for taking time out of his crazy life to put this together. Just a little side note about Grant, just this past Wednesday Grant had another child, a son called Oscar Grant Dyck who was 22 inches long! Everybody is alright but as I understand there was some difficulties but Colleen (Grant's wife) is doing alright but was unable to attend. So Grant, I really appreciate taking the time to do this when I know your attention is very needed in other areas.

A little from the beginning

Upon my existing position as a student in the faculty of computer science, the sheer volume of women is astounding! In other words in 3rd year computer science I believe there are 6 girls out of 100 or so. Thus leading to my search in the world wide web. Upon stumbling on a certain site I have had a number of interesting dates, whom some I am trying to forget.

One of the ladies I have met, was understandably afraid to meet in person being the fact that she was 19 and I am 28. Hey I could be cereal killer for all she knows. She never had the chance to learn of my Mennonite heritage. Anyway I digress, we decided to meet for a first date and she proceeded to bring a friend. We met at a local bar and there he was, her best friend, who just happened to be her ex. Well it didn't take long before at story popped out about this guy chaperone who had sat on her chest and fartted in her face. One might ask themselves what might a person respond with such a intriguing story...well of course my response was graceful yet courteous. I simply said "can I order two pints please" and then quickly stepped aside to make a quiet escape.

My lesson from this was to up the bar of at least being within 8 years of my age.

These chronicals include some of the interesting things that happen to a single guy in the pursuit of happiness and the simple adventures that life brings.

This website is dedicated to just those few people who have nudged and prodded to get this going. I know I have started a little late and there have been many stories that have already happened, but with my limited time frame I will try to bring you up to date in the current edition of my life.
